Fajr Energy Persian Gulf Company has announced the results of its 12th annual community satisfaction survey, which has been conducted consistently since 2011 to gather stakeholder feedback and enhance its operations.
According to the survey, 55% of respondents described the company as highly reputable, while 35% found it reputable. The overall satisfaction rate for the company’s performance in 2021 was 79.84%, a slight improvement from the 78.19% reported in 2020.
The survey, conducted in 2022, focused on evaluating Fajr Energy’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts, with environmental satisfaction scoring the highest at 80.32%. Other key areas of assessment included general and governance-related performance, where satisfaction rates were 79.32% and 58.97%, respectively.
Participants in the survey, representing public and governmental organizations, non-governmental entities, and neighboring petrochemical companies, provided their feedback through specialized questionnaires. The survey results highlight Fajr Energy's strong performance in adhering to values and human dignity, while the lowest satisfaction was related to awareness of the company's future decisions and changes, scoring 70.68%.
The survey also revealed areas for improvement in governance, particularly regarding stakeholder awareness of upcoming company decisions, which received a satisfaction rate of 37%. However, the company continued to excel in environmental management, particularly in compliance with environmental regulations, achieving a satisfaction rate of 87.5%.
The survey sampled 27 organizations, with 135 forms distributed and a participation rate of 33.3%. Fajr Energy aims to increase stakeholder engagement in future surveys through more in-person sessions and expanded outreach.
Additionally, Fajr Energy's efforts in environmental protection, including the treatment of over 4.8 million cubic meters of industrial and sanitary wastewater, were noted as key achievements.
The company’s long-term focus on social responsibility initiatives, such as contributing 500 MW of electricity to the national grid during peak summer months, remains central to its strategy. Fajr Energy’s record of continuous production of vital services is also highlighted as a key success, which the company aims to sustain and expand.
The survey results provide valuable insights for Fajr Energy, allowing the company to further refine its sustainability and community engagement strategies in the years ahead.
