Zal Khani, the Managing Director of Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company announced the internalization and domestication of more than 1500 spare parts and 13 chemicals in this company.
He said in an
interview with the Public Relations Department: "Persian Gulf Fajr Energy
Company has formed a self-sufficiency committee since 2010 and gradually
improved its activities to support domestic productions." After the
formation of the said committee it improved the supply chain of spare parts and realized supporting domestic manufacturing as the goal
placing in its activity life.
Referring to
the company’s goals in supporting domestic production, the Managing Director of
Persian Gulf Energy Company said: We can refer to accessibility, costs
reduction and prevention of foreign currencies withdrawal, exchange of
technical information and industrial data with manufacturers, job creation and
wealth creation and creating value added as the company’s five main important
goals in supporting domestic manufacturing.
He stated: The
Fajr personnel accept as a true that developing the capacity of producers and
manufactures can lead to job creation and also increases the proficiencies of
the forces and experts. On the other hand, it will take the lead to a
competition among the domestic manufacturers to enhance manufacture and reduce
the fixed price.
Zal Khani
continued: We can meet some other ends through supporting domestic production,
such as persistence of spare parts supply and independency of such parts supply
from foreign markets and reducing the risk of the procurement of the parts in
some special conditions in international trade markets. In some cases compared
to foreign production parts, these homemade products can lead to more currency
savings.
He added: In
the early years of the formation of the self-sufficient unit, we have organized
and prioritized the equipment required for the complex by itemizing and specifying
some important features such as: the sensitivity of the spare parts,
availability of like domestic products, the amount of consumption, the number
of reserve for inventory and the Rial value of the cases in database in order
to let the procedure to be as the right and efficient move for the committee to
take.
The CEO of Fajr
Gulf Energy Company stated: “During the period of support for domestic
manufacturing, we have put in our working agenda the manufacturing and
production of sensitive and high-use parts such as filters, industrial valves,
gearboxes, rotors, electronic cards and industrial covers of pumps.
He said: The
first step in supporting the domestic manufacturing is to identify domestic
manufacturing companies, reviewing their activities, making sure of their
capabilities and fields of activity through inspecting their workshop
facilities, reviewing the records of their previous collaborations, making a
list of the existing competent domestic companies and also conducting
continuous evaluations of the suppliers and manufacturers.
Referring to
holding of the fourth exhibition to support domestic manufacturing in Kish
Island, Zal Khani said: Among the other activities of Fajr Co to identify the
domestic parts manufactures we can name attending some domestic exhibitions,
especially the annual domestic exhibition to support the productions of Persian
Gulf Petrochemical Industries Group in order to identify the capability of
Iranian companies in the field of parts manufacturing and to make use of the
information from others Companies in the field.
He continued:
"Beside creating an environment for the growth of Iranian manufacturers
and supporting domestic production, Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company has
entered the stages of helping produce more advanced technology such as
sensitive electronic cards, advanced rotating equipment, compressors, turbines
and pumps, which of course brings more added value and a higher level of
knowledge for producers.”
The managing
Director of Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company finally noted: “After the
formation of the self-reliance group and the realization of Persian Gulf Fajr
Energy Company’s priorities and also the completion of the related research
process, it targeted to manufacture more than 1520 parts from 2002 -2022. Among
them, 1500 parts and 13 chemicals could have well reached the manufacturing
stage, so it could save more than 370 billion Rials in the company's expenses
and prevent about 40 million dollars of foreign currency withdraw.

should be noted that the experts of Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company have so
far completely localized the operations of major repairs of three types of gas
turbines in order to prevent the currency withdrawal from the country, while
empowering the company, as well
