The Managing Director of PGFEC said: Based on an approval by the National Strategic Council of Petrochemical Industries, all medical centers in Khoozestan province can receive their necessary liquid oxygen for free from the Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company in order to deal with the spread of Corona virus and save people's lives.
Referring to the worsening situation caused by the Corona Virus pandemic and
the subsequent urgent need for oxygen by the patients affected by the virus, Ali
Zalkhani said: “All endeavors and efforts of the employees in Persian Gulf Fajr
Energy Company finally led to launching of a liquid oxygen loading station in
May 2021 and now the station is ready provide the customers with the liquid
oxygen.
In an interview with the reporter of PGFEC Public Relations, he said: Since
the launch of this station, there used to be numerous cargoes of liquid oxygen
loaded to different destinations in the country, all of which are allocated to the
Corona patient’s treatment. These shipments value more than 2.9 billion Rials. Out of this total, 2 of
the shipments weighing more than 38 tons were destined for the hospitals in the
holy city of Mashhad.
Moreover, with the approval of the Regional Strategic Council of
Petrochemical Industries, all hospitals in Khuzestan province which are in need
of liquid oxygen can receive it for free from the Fajr Co after obtaining a
license from the council and after an announcement by the hospitals to prove
that they enjoy a special tanker for oxygen which can meet the safety
requirements, the Managing of Director of Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company
continued.
Zalkhani stated: Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company has so far provided one
of the hospitals in Khuzestan province with a 20-ton shipment of liquid oxygen
in this manner. Regarding the availability of the tankers specially made for transferring
the liquid oxygen in the Petrochemical Especial Economic Zone and due to the
risks and the sensitivity of the act transporting and transferring of the liquid oxygen, it
is important for the vehicles carrying the liquid oxygen to consider all the
necessary safety requirements for loading of this liquid.
He finally reiterated that Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company has so far
taken the necessary measures in this regard and also has equipped a liquid
oxygen transport vehicle belonging to a company based in the port city of Bandar
Mahshahr in accordance with safety standards and requirements. This vehicle is
currently transporting oxygen required by the hospitals in the Khuzestan
province.
