The 2011 European project management crystal award has gone to Iran’s Fajr Petrochemical Company for its development project plan.
The company had earlier collected Iran’s national award for its development project plan.
The company’s public relations department quotes Heidar Dehghani, the development project plan chief, as saying that the at first step the petrochemical hub shared its project management experiences regarding the Fajr power plant with other domestic petrochemical companies.
This brought the company a national recognition with regard to the project management administered in Fajr power plant, he said.
According to Dehghani, then a group of international judges used the IPMA and IPEM management models to closely assess what had been done in the company.
Dehghani added that the 2011 European project management award was extended to Fajr Petrochemical Company in Australia for the company’s project management excellence and enhancement.
The Fajr power plant includes four gas turbines and it produces 650 megawatts of electricity and 720 ton/hour of steam.
The power plant covers the electricity needs of the industrial and economic complexes located in the special economic zone of Imam Khomeini Port
